It's hard to believe that Ruby's visit to my house is almost half over. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to let my brother and his wife have her back. She's a very sweet girl, and we've been having lots of fun this week.
She has not barked once. Literally. This dog never makes a peep.

Awww, has having Ruby stay with you lead to planning a canine addition to your household, LA? Or would your cats mutiny?
I think you need a pooch too!
If I had a yard, I'd have a dog in a heartbeat. As it is, I'm in the backyard of my neighbor who has three big dogs who don't like other canines (and sometimes don't like each other) in their space. This week has been a series of coordinating with my neighbor when her dogs are in the house so I can slip Ruby out the back gate for a walk and potty break.
That said, Ruby has made me miss living with a dog. She follows me EVERYWHERE including the bathroom. She sits at my feet when I'm, uh, seated in that room. She also lays on the bath mat when I take a shower. You couldn't ask for a better companion.
p.s. Mishy - My cats are fine with dogs. Alfie's hissed a couple times when she first got here, but that was to establish the fact that this is his house (he's territorial). I've spotted Ruby giving both Alfie and Cleo sloppy kisses. Phoebe hasn't enjoyed any sloppy kisses yet, but she's indifferent to the presence of a canine.
That's a perfect dog, I am telling you. (Don't give Ruby back!!)
