LA I know this really doesn't belong here but I finally did it I have my own Blogspot. It is not much yet but if you are intereseted check it out its called PixiPlace.
isn't it funny as hell? we saw it in the theater and I don't remember laughing that hard since seeing The South Park Movie.
The extra features on the disk are great, too. Particularly the extended "you know how I know you're gay" scene. Oh, and the dance number over the ending credits is a classic.
Mike - Same here... I went to the South Park Movie at noon on the opening day and was already exhausted laughing after Uncle Fucker.
As far as 40yo Virgin, I think you picked out some of my favorite parts. Since I hadn't seen it in the theater originally, I didn't know the "you know how I know you're gay scene" was one of the extended ones, but I can imagine it would have been edited. As an old prog rock fan, I noticed the Asia poster in his apartment right away and loved the Asia references. I also loved the scene at the Free Clinic counseling session. Of course, the ending dance number about killed me. My brother has a cover band (with whom I've sung at Hennessey's PB), and I'm lobbying very hard to get them to add Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In to their set list. I think it would kill.
THAT would be hella awesome! I hope you can talk them into it.
I actually saw Asia a LONG time ago when I was in High School (that's dating me, I know) and I think they opened up for another band, but for the life of me, I can't remember who. I'm usually really good with that stuff, even though I've been to many hundreds of rock shows over the last 25 years (yikes, that's dating me, too! :P )
Mike - I'm probably one of the few people who regrets missing Asia in concert. Happily, I've seen Yes (many times, many lineups), King Crimson, and ELP. I am a freak, I know.
I often find myself going through life, shaking my head in disbelief at what I see. And then sometimes I am awed by something so stunningly beautiful that I'm breathless. I hope to document both here.

I have to rent this! He's also really funny in The Office. I watch it every week and laugh the whole 30 minutes.
Dude, it's some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. The tears were literally streaming down my face at the end.
I've been putting off seeing this movie because I thought it would be corny but if you say its funny LA I'm renting it tonight.
Pix - Rent the unrated version with the 17 extra minutes. And tell me how you like it!!
