American Pie and Ferris Beuller
While I was in the neighborhood today, taking pictures of the Donnie Darko house (see last post), I shot the houses from Ferris Bueller (the original film with Matthew Broderick) and American Pie. All photos were shot from inside my car, some through glass. Here's the Ferris Bueller house as it looks today.
This is Jim's (Jason Biggs' character) house from American Pie.
Here's Michelle's (Alyson Hannigan's character) house which I think was actually from American Pie 2 and not from the original. Yes, that's a real estate sign in the yard, and apparently, a sale is currently pending.

There seems to be a real variety of styles in this neighborhood.
Flix - This neighborhood is outrageous. Your observation is right on; there are many, many styles, and nearly universally all were done with great care. I took some other pix which I'll post later.

They look so different in the movies...never would have recognized them if you made no mention to their celeb status. ;-)
