The Other Side of the Mirror
About Me
- Name: LA
- Location: Southern California
I often find myself going through life, shaking my head in disbelief at what I see. And then sometimes I am awed by something so stunningly beautiful that I'm breathless. I hope to document both here.

We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear of one another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular. - Edward R. Yes, it's a chain of gyms.
And believe it or not, they sell advertizing space in the restrooms of clubs here in LA. So if you consider the typical clientele in a club in LA, the fact is, this sign is actually demographically well-researched and placed. The target audience is a bunch of Los Angeles 20- to 30-something women obsessed with their looks and bodies, putting on lipstick in the ladies' room!
Philosophically, of course, I agree with you; but I still find humor in the placement of this ad.
LOL!
So rude but so funny!
Funny. I thought maybe it was a restaurant, which would be stupid. Nothing like calling a girl fat just before she's going to order off your menu!
