Perspective

Here's some perspective for my non-Californian friends and readers. This is a typical beach neighborhood lot. I shot this house from the side so you could see how deep it goes. Behind it, there's a little house from the 40s or 50s nestled in between the two remodels.

That is such a strange way to build a home. (At least to me.)

Is that little house in the middle an older home. It feels out of place.

Well, is it huge though? If it's so very narrow? Man, can you eat chocolate and live there? I'd be afraid of eating dinner, then not being able to walk into the next room :)

Yeah, I totally agree this place is pretty fug. The architecture is also grossly out of place in So Cal, though that's not the problem I have with it. It's just not really my taste.

Oops, almost forgot to answer you, Flix. Yes, the little pink house is older, possibly an original even. It looks out of place now, but back in the day the big ones looked out of place. The lots didn't look so small when they were dotted with houses like the pink beach bungalow.
