The Other Side of the Mirror
About Me
- Name: LA
- Location: Southern California
I often find myself going through life, shaking my head in disbelief at what I see. And then sometimes I am awed by something so stunningly beautiful that I'm breathless. I hope to document both here.

We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear of one another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular. - Edward R. I didn't want to be mean, but that 99Luft balloons song used to drive me nuts!! Blondie rocks!!
Anything by Blondie is fabulous! I saw the Brit Awards last night and she was a presenter, she still looks gorgeous! Awwwwww, too bad about the "99 Luftballons", I love that sone.
I'm a Blondie fan myself. I say go with "Call Me". Deborah Harry is so cool.
Good luck with your preformance.
goodness, Debbie Harry was so hot.
years ago, I saw her open with her solo band for Tears for Fears. whenever they were touring for Songs From the Big Chair.
anyway, she went off, then came back for an encore wearing a full length fur, then totally stripped it off and was wearing only bra and panties. HOT! :)
oh, Tears for Fears was good, too..
I am officially jealous, mike v.
Just thought I would say what's up. I'm in LA too and hear ya.
WTF?? Mike V., are you serious?? I saw the same Tears for Fears tour that year with Blondie, but Debbie didn't do that!!...BTW, She was one the Brit awards the other day as a presenter, and she is still so gorgeous! :)
LA-go for the Blondie cover, she is great!
And good luck :)
When is the show?
Bird - 3/25!
Mike - No way! That sounds extremely cool. Did this happen up in the bay area?
Drunk - Welcome! I'll check out your blogs soon!
Yea, Bay Area. Forget the venue, but my guess would be like the Oakland Arena or something. I remember it was fairly good sized..
And that was a long time ago. Going on 20 years.
When you were seeing Debbbie Harry in the Bay Area, I was living in San Diego, going to State, and slam-dancing at on-campus X shows.
Good on you, young lady!
X kicks ass. I have seen them a couple times.
They opened for Bowie in San Jose in 1987.
Peter Frampton played Gitar.
