Elvis' Teddy All Shook Up by Hound Dog

My sister woke me from sleep this morning with a phone call to tell me this story. Someone whose name is not Einstein decided it would be a good idea to have a dog guarding a valuable teddy bear collection. The guard dog in question, Barney, naturally did what any dog would do in a room full of stuffed animals - he shredded them to pieces, probably with delightful abandon (dear God, please let there be security video of the actual wreckage). In my mind, this is the equivalent of asking Lindsey Lohan guard your cocaine or Mel Gibson watch over your vodka. Anyway, back to Barney, according to this report, ironically enough, the insurance company apparently had insisted upon a guard dog. Excuse me while I check on the fresh salmon I left marinating in the other room with my cats.

Flix - Congrats on the high speed! You're going to wonder how you survived without it. My sister is still on dial-up, and she comes over to my house to watch youtube.com and video. Congrats! Did you get cable or DSL?

I always tell guests in my home - watch your food - Hanna, the Labrador, cannot be trusted. We also learned one New Year's Eve, that while she doesn't like beer, she does like Apple Martinis, and every time someone set their's on the coffee table, she would discretely stick her tongue into each glass. After a few licks she got a funny look on her face and went and laid down quietly on her pillow . . .

LA, I got cable including a basic channel package. That's the other half of my secret, I've been watching broadcast TV via antenna on the roof. (Stop laughing!!)

It was like three channels with fuzzy picture quality.

Flix - You were actually ahead of me. Until I got cable TV this year, I had no television reception at all. Zilch. Of course, Of course, I've had internet cable for 4-5 years now, but that's because I need it to telecommute, so I was strongly motivated to get it. Our cable company just merged with Time Warner, and it looks like there will actually be a price decrease in the fall.

This story put a smile on my face! Thanks LA for showing me how stupid people truly are. I feel like Einstein compared to these dumb dumbs.
