Alfie the Music Critic

As I often do when I work in my home office, I have my iPod in the docking station and playing in the living room for some ambient background music. Lately, Alfie and Phoebe have been hanging out together in the living room, napping, listening, enjoying the afternoon sun. Today was no exception. I had the Beatles'
White Album playing, and all was well until Revolution #9 came on. About a minute later, Alfie came into the room in which I was working and looked at me with an expression that clearly said, "What the fuck is this?" He gave me his whining, complaining meow, so I went into the other room, fast-forwarded to the next song (Good Night), and another minute later, he was fast asleep on the sofa again.

My cats love Wilco and Neil Young but they will leave the room if I put on punk rock. They're a couple of mellow types.
LOL! Alfie is rather picky about the songs he likes.
that's funny! i don't think i've ever listened to the beatles. ever. well, maybe by accident. which makes me just like a kitty!
That is so funny. What a great cat to live with!
Revolution #9!! Yeah they were still amazed with their looping techniques. It was all magnetic stripe back in the day.
I will say that is one of their weaker tunes.
la - this could be the start of a new blog for you . . . Alfie's Top Ten Hits of the week!
my second favorite Beatles album (behind Revolver)
peace out.
have a great weekend.
Apparently, Alfie knows what he likes. How many cats do you have, LA?
Mish - I've got three. Two is the idea number. I used to have two, then one died, and when I went to the shelter to adopt a new one, I came home with a pair.
Your cats are music snobs. I love it.
I always giggle when I see the White album. As a child my brother had a record collection. Many fascinating beautiful covers.. for a kid.. but the Beatles one. And I always hated it because it was so dull :) Obviously I was not the market they were after :)
Even now, Revolution number 9 is one I skip past. Your cats obviously prefer melody over experimentalism as well.
Gosh, I never even thought about what music those neighborhood cats that have adopted us like. Obviously they love a wide variety because we're always blasting it and it hasn't chased them away!
