Cruising 1st Street in the LBC

In this fantasy as in most, money is no object. Which would I own? All three, but I'd decorate each one differently. Off the top of my head:

Taking inspiration from the exterior, I'd do this Spanish home in warm, neutral earth tones. I see some dark red walls inside.

The Tudor's interior? Deco, Deco, Deco.

In contrast to the first house, this Mediterranean would be done in cool tones with touches of blue and high quality leather pieces. This place calls out for some Moorish-inspired touches.

You?

I can't even imagine what the first and third house would be like inside. They are so different than any style of home up here.

I am however, in love with the second house. I would do it in some warm earthy but classic tones. My dining room would be a rich red with pretty antiques and newer pieces mixed in. My kitchen would have modern stainless appliances with refinished antiqued cupboards and reclaimed wide barn board floors. The eating area in the kitchen would have an entire wall of windows overlooking the back yard. My family room would have a huge wall to wall stone fireplace and a walk-out to a huge cedar deck. At least one bathroom would have a massive clawfoot tub with pretty fixtures.

I think that house would look prettiest covered in snow and tastefully decorated for Christmas. Christmas tree in the front window. White lights draping the roof lines. Very pretty.

If that house was mine, I'd host a lot of parties. Because if I could own that home, I could afford to host a lot of parties.

Did I just put way too much thought into this?

Money is no object? Awesome. First, Mish hit on some good points. For me, I am all about the kitchens and bathrooms. Let's face it, if they're big and comfortable, you're halfway there. The bottom house is my favorite, and I agree LA, some quality leather would work in there.

And since it's so sunny, I would install solar systems, to get them all off the grid!!

number 3!
there's a few like that near me.
when one of them did an open house, it was totally sweet inside.
AND it had a separate party pad in the back of the lot.

Great houses! My great aunt and uncle (both long deceased) had a really cool Cape Cod style house in the LBC (Aunt Babe's hubby was from that area0. I wonder if I could find it again?

I love them all, but #3 has it all. Check out the landscaping. It's all about the cubr appeal. I'm just imagining it has arched doorways and really dark rustic wood floors. And please tell me they kept the integrity of the kitchen and bathrooms.

The middle house is my favorite, because it most reminds me of houses in East Sacramento. Love that style!

Since you're in the LBC, will you please look up Lightning and hurt him?

Though none of these are my type, I'd have to go with #3.
