Figures, it must be beautifully expensive there.

LA, could you get a place like that for a million, or would you need more?

getflix - That place is a brand new remodel, but if they were to sell it, they'd probably ask around 3 million. The price would fluctuate based on the neighborhood, of course, but this place has a prime spot. There is a bay with docks right across the street that runs along the left side of the house plus more bay directly behind where I'm shooting the picture.

Real estate here is obscene.

Pix - Yes, I'd call it tragically expensive. Feel my pain (I rent).

Leo.
Aug 1966 CA baby!

That is the state fish of Hawaii, though the color is not exactly right because their normal more yellow color wouldn't show up well on my olive skin.

My mom is from there and I have a lot of love for the islands. Always have, so I thought I should have that done one time when I was there.

I had an artist here make me a different type of tropical fish on my upper left arm as well.

Hey, that's really cool! We have something in common... Hawaiian legacy. My name - Lani - is Hawaiian, and I was the firstborn of my parents who met and married there (I was "made" there, but not born there). My dad used to be the sports editor of the Honolulu Star Bulletin.

Well, there you go.
My grandparents were married 2 weeks prior to Pearl Harbor being bombed.
My grandfather was an electrical contractor working for the Navy at Pearl at the time and did not come home for a week.
My mom grew up on the big Island first, then on Oahu in Kailua. Love Kailua. Best beach town in the world, to me..
