p.s.

Jon Stewart sucked.

I didn't want to feel this way because I like him. I'm sorry to say, it wasn't the material, which was actually good, but it was him. His ad libbed lines were funny, but his delivery wasn't. He bombed. Not "he da bomb," but he fucking bombed like a nuclear disaster.

Damnit.

Not to stir you wrath, my dear LA, but I liked his deadpan delivery. I am a little jaded from all the other hosts.

Not stirring my wrath at all. I actually thought his jokes were funny. Unfortunately at the same time, he sunk with the audience. I couldn't hear any real mirth, it was more polite laughter, and he didn't have a strong presence which is ultimately why I have to give him thumbs down.

I really wanted him to do well because I'm a fan. Same with Letterman... love him, but he didn't hack it as a host.

I think my favorite Oscar host is still Steve Martin.

Steve Martin was very funny. I was getting tired of Billy C's dance routine thang he had going.

LA I thought the same thing. I caught a few seconds of his act and I had to change it. It just wasn't his material.

I have to respectfully disagree.
I think he played to a tough room, but overall did OK.

I don't think he sucked!

I mean, it must be a tough gig....if my love Chris Rock couldn't pull it off!

Stewart was better than I thought he'd be.

I forgot to add: But I agree Steve Martin was the best.

Yeah, there are real split opinions about this, and he's getting really mixed reviews from the critics as well. It's good to debate it among friends like this; as Mike V said, to respectfully disagree. I welcome all opinions.

I must say that I thought he did a good job. Hey, he didn't sing or dance and in my book, that makes him a good host. However, the George Clooney jokes were funny... for a while, and then just got tired.

He was alright. Chris Rock was a hideous mess, so I'm just grateful for anyone other than him.

I did like the George Clooney joke.. that he ended all of his dates with 'Good Night, and Good Luck' .. haha :) George took it all in great stride, his expressions were funny.

Getflix, is that avatar the evil bunny from the movie Sexy Beast?

That movie totally rocks, BTW, Ben Kingsley is amazing.

Mike - In case Flix doesn't see this, I'm 99.9 percent sure his bunny is from Donnie Darko.

OH, never have seen that one.

Everyone should still see Sexy Beast, though!
