Working Class Hero

Nice cover of this John Lennon classic by Green Day. It will be featured on an upcoming album called Instant Karma the benefits of which will go to Darfur. Click here (InstantKarma.org) for more information. In the meantime, this song is available now on iTunes.

His best stuff was his solo albums. IMHO.

Really great song. I had to go look up the lyrics because I thought he was saying "...is something to beer" when its "something to be" (with Billy extending the note).

Were the last two lines of the song actually John Lennon's voice? It sure sounded like him.

Diane - Great tip about the email alert on the Fund Food for Animals!

Ffleur - Yes, good ear. That's John Lennon from the original recording at the end of Working Class Hero.
