The Other Side of the Mirror
About Me
- Name: LA
- Location: Southern California
I often find myself going through life, shaking my head in disbelief at what I see. And then sometimes I am awed by something so stunningly beautiful that I'm breathless. I hope to document both here.

We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear of one another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular. - Edward R. welcome back! i can't wait to hear the details.
that lunar eclipse did a number on me and threw my whole world into planetary chaos!
Glad you're back!! I am thinking you must've had some great weather.
Happy B-day, and welcome back! When can I buy you a birthday cocktail?
Flix - Mostly, but we had a couple days of really bad rain. On the day we drove the panhandle of Florida, we white-knuckled it during a horrific, nonstop downpour which we later learned came out to be 4 inches that day. Visibility was nil, and the semi trucks continued to drive 80 mph, right on our asses. It was traumatizing to say the least!
Welcome back! When was your b-day?? 29 again?
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
Edit, i think she turned 28!
the eclipse was a metaphor for me too! i got a cell phone call while at a restaurant without my kids for the first time in like, 4 YEARS (5th anniversary), my BFF gay on the phone said, look outside it's an eclipse - burn one if you can....
i left my hub in the restaurant, ran out into the parking lot, searching for the moon, found it, said wow, pointed it out to some stranger, who thought I was insane, then went back into the restaurant. all within about 2 minutes.
RUSHED. my life.
Yeah, 28 or 29, something like that.
Great story, Leisa! And happy anniversary!
Glad your back. My mom is still in Florida. That woman can't get enough of old codger dick I guess.
