It's A Girl!
My brother called a little while ago after their ultrasound. The doctor is 95 percent certain it's a girl. They're having a 3-D ultrasound next week, so the gender will be confirmed on Tuesday. I'm stunned - I totally thought it was a boy - but I'm thrilled to be an auntie either way.
Props to Palms Spring Savant and Kookla who correctly identified the pregnant twin, my sister-in-law, wearing black above.
<-- This is their baby girl's name. I have to get used to it, I've been referring to the baby with their boy's name.

Yeehaww! I'm going to buy a lottery ticket because I never win anything...And the baby's name is Ava? LOVE IT!!
cool blog...got your link off beans
Ava it is, Kook. I love it, too. It has a nice cadence with our last name.
iamaudioslave - thanks for leaving a comment!
that is a very pretty name - congrats auntie, and you best get busy with the pink yarn!
diane - I bought two Debbie Bliss baby pattern books yesterday. Knitting for a baby girl is going to be a LOT of fun. It might actually get me out of my knitting funk.
Congrats!
I too love the name Ava, as it has such an essence of grace and beauty to it. Very nice indeed.
la - I have a cousin who recently had a baby girl - sure I haven't spoken to him in years, but any excuse to knit baby things!
